Healesville

As hubby and I were both working on my birthday and had some time to spare yesterday, we explored a little of Healesville, about an hour out of central Melbourne.

We wandered through the gardens in a (very) small section of the Yarra Ranges National Park and went for a bit of a hike [I'm pretty confident we climbed a mountain...] before hitting up Innocent Bystander for a hard earned birthday lunch and yummy wine.

Being a relatively lazy person by nature, whenever I set out on little 'adventures' like this I tend to start off feeling a little skeptical. But it's so hard to feel as though the skepticism is warranted after you've spent the day absorbing fresh air and sunlight while staring down a wallaby.

So many stunning corners of this earth, and we've only just started scratching the surface.
