Prints and cool jewel tones such as cobalt blue, violet and emerald will be playing a big part in my summer wardrobe, as well as loose basics and practical beach-friendly accessories.
Now that I’m back from Singapore and out of the humidity, there are a few items that I’ll rarely be without when relaxing down on the Mornington Peninsula during the heat of Melbourne’s summer.
There are two styles in particular that I love for this summer, being the panama and a printed cap. Zimmermann have some great printed caps in their SS12/13 range and although the print I’m lusting after (pictured) is completely sold out (boo) there are plenty of other options to keep me happy.
Like the Tory Burch beach bag pictured below, the ideal beach tote will fit all the essentials: towel big enough to fit two people (Wildfox genius), iPod/iPhone, sunscreen, and a good read.
I love either the Witchery Cleo low wedge sandals, the Rag & Bone braided Layla sandals or the Alexander Wang Alek ankle cuff sandals. All different variations on the same style and all gorgeous.
The Zimmermann SS12/13 swimwear collection hosts very few pieces that I woudn’t wear, all the digital prints are beautiful and as always the designs are flattering and feminine. My go-to swimwear brand has always been Seafolly and every year they bring out gorgeous prints in the same never-fail styles. This season is no different.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer so far, and that you’re making the most of the sunshine and the warmth!
